Conexus is the joining of two words: Connections and Nexus. Connection means the linking or joining of two or more things or people. Nexus means a link associating two or more people or things. Conexus, for us, is the ability to help people connect at the highest level with God and one another.

Conexus groups are a wonderful means for individual improvement, as well as a great way to get connected with people who make their way to the Hope Park campus each weekend. This is where you meet new people and start to experience the true meaning of church as a group of believers on a journey to knowing God.

Conexus Groups follow a semester format—7-12 weeks during the Spring, Summer, and Fall. They are formed around a variety of themes:

  • Special/Shared Interest Groups: Single Moms, Bikers, Board Game Geeks, Creative Yoga-Dance, Softball, etc.
  • Spiritual Growth Groups: Teen Bible Studies, Adult Bible Studies, Prayer Groups, etc.
  • Service Groups: Nashville Rescue Mission, Hope Center, Habitat Homes, BCC Home Repair Team, etc.

Characteristics of Conexus Groups:

  • Semester based with a specific beginning and ending point
  •  Volunteer-led, meeting on a regular (either weekly or bi-weekly) basis, to semester end
  •  Based on shared interests
  •  Encourage the growth and development of each person in the group
  • Two or more people attend, with size limited only by the meeting facilities or by the leader
  •  Meetings include one or more of the following: worship, prayer, Bible study, and service

For a list of current groups, pick up a Conexus Directory at the Info Table or go to www.hopepark.com/conexus. There you will find each group's name, purpose statement, group leader's contact information, meeting dates, time and location, group requirements, associated costs, and registration information.
