Bellevue Community Church was founded in April 1988 by a small group of people from the Bellevue area. Originally named “Christ Baptist Church,” the vision was for a different style of church. Rev. Jack Stone served as our first part-time pastor and was followed by Rev. Harlan Reynolds. In October 1989, Christ Baptist Church, with about 40 members, called Dr. David Foster to be our first full-time pastor. Under Dr. Foster’s leadership, in late 1990, Christ Baptist Church was renamed Bellevue Community Church to better reflect our passion which was and still is reaching out to those who are unchurched or tired of the way church was being done. BCC met in the Bellevue Middle School for over ten years. In the spring of 2000, we moved to our present location of 280 acres off of I-40 in the Bellevue community, we call the campus ‘Hope Park ’. From humble beginnings, with the commitment of many, and with the blessing of God, BCC has become one of the fastest growing churches in Middle Tennessee. BCC is filled with dedicated people who are compelled to reach out to those who are searching for a relationship with God, but aren’t looking for “church” rules and expectations. Our vision is to bring real hope to real people in the real world. We provide a worship option that offers contemporary music, relevant teaching from the Bible, and a casual, friendly, accepting atmosphere where people not only encounter God but find a community of people who are committed to doing life together Our goal from the beginning has been to reach the unchurched in our community and make a real difference in Middle Tennessee. Today, that goal remains at the forefront of all we do.Please join us for one of our three identical weekend services: Saturday evenings at 5:30 or Sunday mornings at 9:00 or 11:00. |
