Growth is not standing in front of a chalkboard. It is standing in front of a mirror.

We believe a spiritually maturing person is growing in these three areas:

A Love for Jesus

"'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the greatest and first commandment. And a second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’"

Matthew 22:37-39

Fruitful reflection of Jesus

"By contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control."

Galatians 5:22

A Spiritually Free life

"For freedom Christ has set us free. Stand firm, therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery."

Galatians 5:1

Have you recently started attending HopePark Church? We would love for you to attend a brief reception so that we can welcome you and get to know you in person! Come meet the pastors and staff, as well as others who are new to HopePark. We can't wait to meet you! Children's Programing will remain open throughout the reception to serve as childcare. We'll meet you in the office area on the far right hand side of the atrium.

Transformational Groups

Step deeper into the way of Jesus by paying attention to God’s voice guiding your life, leading you to an awakened heart. Explore the trajectory of your life story, discovering how your past has shaped you, and how you can live more fully and freely in the light of God’s love—transforming your spiritual growth and life.

Transformational groups meet throughout the year on Wednesday evenings. Fall session meets September 13 thru November 1, 6:30pm at HopePark. Please sign-up in advance. To find out more about the content of these groups, visit RESTORE Small Groups website.

Relational Groups

Relational Groups meet off campus in homes, coffee shops, and other places around town, and they make all of their own decisions about time, location, and childcare. Their primary purpose is to create safe environments in which deep relationships can grow. Fall meal groups choose their own schedule, meeting three times between October 1 and November 19.

Formational Groups

Formational Groups meet on campus at HopePark. Their primary purpose is to help you meet new people while engaging in a particular topic, study, class, or activity. Groups meet for 6-8 weeks, and they have a clear start and end date.

New formational groups will start in the Fall, Spring, and Summer. Fall formational groups begin the week of September 10, 2017

When you are ready to be a part of something bigger, serving is a great place to start. We have plenty of ongoing opportunities, flexible serving schedules, and are even willing to create a new role based on your gifts and passions. The church grows and thrives on the shared gifts of its people.

Ways to Connect Into Serving

Children's Ministry

Birth - 4th Grade

Do you have a heart for helping children discover Christ? There are several different ways you can serve in Children's Ministry, both directly with children and behind the scenes. We will help you to find a role that fits your schedule as well as your interests.

Student Ministry

5th - 12th Grade

Did you know that 85% of people who make a decision to follow Christ do so before the age of 18? Serving in student ministry provides a wonderful opportunity to help students write a better story for their lives.

Greeting, Coffee, Parking

A person's first impression of a church is formed within the first 15 minutes after they arrive. Be a big part of making HopePark a warm and inviting place that grows faith, gives hope, and spreads love to our community.

Administrative Help

We can always use help around the office with things like data entry, organization, making phone calls, and doing mailings. If you are a gifted administrator or enjoy organizing, we would love to have you in our office!

Worship Arts

Media, Backstage, Video, Musicians/Singers

Whether it's a musical gift you'd like to share on stage, or if you desire to be more behind the scenes, serving in Worship Arts is a great opportunity. Musicians are added to the team via auditions; experience is not required to join our tech, backstage, and graphics team.

Curious about baptism? Your interest in baptism is evidence that God is present and powerfully at work in your life. We at HopePark look forward to joining you in a truly powerful moment of water baptism that has been so meaningful to the spiritual journey of so many that have come before us--including Jesus himself.

We are part of a long tradition of people who have followed Jesus in baptism, who's own baptism was of great significance to his life and faith. Baptism is symbolic of God's immersion of our lives into his love, grace, care, and flourishing. We use water because without it life cannot exist. And in addition to nurturing us, water refreshes and cleanses us.
