Spring Break in the Marketplace - 2012 (Preston Taylor Ministries)

Springbreak in the Marketplace is a pivotal, perhaps life-changing, week in the life of a junior high student at Preston Taylor Ministries (PTM).  Students have the opportunity to spend a few hours (2-4) with a “marketplace mentor” who exposes the student to a career (or educational) opportunity.  The benefit to PTM students is a better understanding of career opportunities, as well as the possibility of a friendship with a caring adult.  Springbreak in the Marketplace takes place April 3-5, 2012.  If you are willing to host a PTM student in your workplace for a morning or afternoon, please contact Chan Sheppard at 596-4386 or cgsheppard@prestontaylorministries.org or for more information visit their website at http://www.ptmweb.ik.org/p_Spring_Break_in_the_Marketplace.ikml

Human Trafficking Abolition Training

Join us on Thursday, December 1 or Thursday December 8, 6:30 p.m., in Portable 4 as we learn more about Human Trafficking in Nashville and how we might fight against it.

Human trafficking is the second largest illegal industry around the globe. In America alone, an estimated 200,000 children have been forced into slavery. Abolition International’s educational programs help prevent trafficking around the world, including here in our community. Attend a 90-minute training session and learn to identify human trafficking activity, then join a watch team to protect and free vulnerable young women in Nashville. Sign up here!
